Viktor Vasilevich Talalikhin was a Soviet military pilot, second lieutenant, the Hero of the Soviet Union. He shot down 6 planes, was one of the first to use a night ram. Viktor Vasilevich Talalikhin participated in the Soviet-Finnish war. He made 47 combat sorties, shot down four Finnish planes, for which he was awarded the Order of the Red Star. He was deputy commander of the air squadron of the 177th Fighter Aviation Regiment during the Great Patriotic War. The I-16 was one of the first to ram in a night air battle, shooting down a He-111 bomber near Moscow on the night of August 7, 1941. He died in an air battle near Podolsk on October 27, 1941. The monument is a bronze figure of the Hero of the Soviet Union Viktor Vasilevich Talalikhin, mounted on a high pedestal made of red granite. The pilot is depicted in the uniform of the aircrew of the Great Patriotic War. There is an inscription in bronze letters on the pedestal: «To the fearless defender of Moscow, Hero of the Soviet Union, pilot Viktor Vasilyevich Talalikhin. 1918-1941».
