Memorial sign for home front worker
The memorial sign was installed in memory of the home front workers who brought Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 closer. The workers of the rear, together with the soldiers, forged Victory in incredibly difficult conditions, built new and reconstructed old enterprises within the shortest period of time and provided everything necessary for the front, for victory over the fascists. Each of them tried to work tirelessly, regardless of any difficulties. The memorial sign is a concrete stele of complex shape with a bas–relief depicting home front workers – a woman and a child at the machine. A ribbon with an inscription in relief letters is placed above the figures: “Everything for the front, everything for victory.” The Soviet rear was monolithic and solid throughout the war and provided the Armed Forces with everything necessary for the complete defeat of the German aggressor and the conquest of the great Victory. The path to victory was hard and difficult, because it came at the cost of huge sacrifices and material losses. Like all the people, the home front workers made a significant contribution and paid a huge price for victory in the Great Patriotic War. They built facilities, engaged in agriculture, cargo transportation, production of weapons for the front and delivery of them there. Difficult living conditions, exhausting work, hunger, loss of relatives, health, opportunities to study were the price of victory. The motherland highly appreciated the exploits of the home front workers. Immediately after the end of the war, tens of thousands of workers of industry, agriculture and culture were awarded commemorative medals “For Valiant labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945”.
